Oakland, CA -- The Raiders are pursuing disciplinary action against three fans for fighting a group of 49er followers and losing - badly - during a preseason game on Saturday. The move is the latest attempt by Raider Nation to dispell rumors that Raider loyalists are going soft, following its devotee's poor brawling performance at Candlestick Park.
In a statement issued today, Raiders chief Executive Amy Trask denounced the hospitalized fans for bringing great shame to the team and its loyal followers. She promised swift action against them and said this is the type of thing that happens when careless fans wear a "F--k the Niners" T-shirt and don't carry a gun to back it up.
"The incidents of last Saturday's game are not acceptable to the Raiders or its fans. Once we instigate, we need to finish the job by inflicting the proper pain, and we usually do," stated Trask. "We are taking the appropriate actions against these offenders for not valuing the Raider's time honored tradition of always kicking ass, home or away"
She also dispelled any rumors that Saturday's incident is an indication that Raider fans are going soft. "Anyone who thinks Raider fans are going soft is hereby warned: we will find you; we will kill you," exclaimed Trask.
Two of the victims were hospitalized during Saturday's game to treat gun shot wounds inflicted by the better prepared 49er fans, while the third was hospitalized after he was beaten unconscious by two 49er loyalists. The incident is said to have begun when a Raider's fan wearing a "F--k the Niners" T-shirt appeared in the jumbo-tron bullying a 49er fan out of his nachos.
As of today, two of the three men that initially had life-threatening injuries were upgraded to fair condition, according to San Francisco General Hospital. They received news of the disappointment they caused to Raider Nation via email and are said to be on suicide watch after hearing that they lost the privilege to rock the silver and black.
