Fat Joe sheds 88 pounds of pure, grade-A manteca

New York, NY -- Rap artist Fat Joe is sporting a new look after shedding 88 pounds of pure manteca over the past few months. The 'Lean back' artist can be seen in his new video, 'Drop a body', featuring a new and thinner version of his old self.
Fat (or better yet, Skinny) Joe, who lost seven friends in their 30s to heart attacks last year, said he felt liberated after shedding the extra weight: "Don't get me wrong, I loved the extra padding (especially during the winter) but I was beginning to worry about my health at 350 pounds", stated Joe, whose real name is Joseph Antonio Cartagena.
The news of his weight loss caught everyone by surprise, including his most loyal followers: "He looks amazing! If you would have told me that Fat Joe had that much manteca, I would have called you crazy. 50 or 60 pounds of manteca... maybe, but 88! That's a lot of extra fat, a dangerous lot; I'm glad he got rid of it", said Carlton Mitchell, a New York resident and longtime fan.
Despite the weight loss, Fat Joe said he wouldn't change his name or style. "I'm still the same person. I might not be fat anymore, but i'm still phat", remarked Fat Joe. In regards to the manteca, he said it would be put up for sale on eBay as grade-A manteca. "I'm sure some Mexican will give in to temptation and buy it", he said.
